Strike Pro Ron Arra Signature Series Bottle Neck Popper 2 1/2" oz. 6" is a surf plug design made of Japanese Cypresswood and finished in radiant colors. VMC hooks. Internally weighted for perfect balance as specified by legendary surfcaster and Cape Cod angler Ron Arra, and designed in conjunction with the Strike Pro engineering and design staff. Maximum distance casting, combined with superb retrieval action.
This is a great all around lure that’s ideal for a school-size fish or trophy fish. The Popper has a special flat bottom design, so it may be fished in fast rips without digging in like traditional surface lures. The lure is very productive when retrieved correctly. Retrieve the lure slow or fast using a little jerk. Then, pause with the rod tip so the lure will produce another pop or gurgle to attract a feeding fish. Ron recommends a surf rod rated for 1 - 4 oz. lures.
